Snowmelter 20-SG

The Trecan 20-SG is commonly used in hospital, university and commercial parking garages and other parking structures that have parking on the top deck and/or have multiple top deck parking facilities. With a capacity of 20 tons per hour, its 4.5 million BTU/hr burner can melt 38 to 76 cubic meters of snow with an average snow density of 5 to 10 m per hour.

Main characteristics.

One Trecan Model 4.5-20M-G Burner, refractory combustion chamber and a stainless steel downcomer.

One Trecan ‘Low-Mount’ gas-electric pilot.

Standard carbon steel semi-cylindrical outer weir tube (bolt brackets for concrete pit or integrated with steel tank).

Direct drive centrifugal blower with 25 HP, 3600 RPM TEFC motor.

Fuel/Air flow control valve assembly with low fire start switch and electric actuator.

Double block gas safety shut-off valves. Manual gas shut-off valves for main and pilot trains.

Main gas pressure regulator for 5 PSIG (minimum) inlet pressure.

Safety and control system including carbon steel enclosure, PLC management, flame safeguard with self-checking UV scanner, control transformer, ignition transformer, low combustion air pressure switch, high and low gas pressure switches, control timers and relays, push buttons, selector switches and indicator lights.

Flexible air and gas hoses and electrical conduits between equipment package and burner.

Fiberglass housing to enclose equipment package.

Pit cover, hoist gantry, electric hoist for pit cover, Burner ON light.

Embedded frame for concrete pits.

Two overflow shields for mounting to pit wall (integrated with optional steel tank).

CO monitoring equipment (mounts to gantry).

Pit (or tank) electric immersion heater(s).

Noise reduction package.
